Joel Kim Booster Is Making a New Rom-Com About a Wedding Gone Wrong

He found messy (on-screen) gay love on Fire Island, but for his next Hollywood project, Joel Kim Booster will find himself in a somewhat different setting: a straight wedding.

Booster is officially writing and producing a new rom-com titled Again Again Again, according to Deadline. Although the deal was reportedly struck last year, the joint WGA and SAG-AFTRA labor strikes temporarily halted the film’s development.

According to a synopsis of Booster’s script obtained by Deadline, Again Again Again will center on Gus, the man of honor at his best friend Maggie’s opulent Napa Valley wedding, but whose best-laid plans are soon set awry by his own “wildly charismatic but emotionally unstable” boyfriend Hal. We still don’t know who will play each of the central roles, but Deadline indicated Booster himself may also star as Gus, launching Booster even further into true leading-man territory.

“Okay team time to make another movie 😈” Booster wrote in a social media post on Wednesday, confirming the news.
