Here’s Why Fans Are Convinced Beyoncé and Gaga Are Working On “Telephone” Part Two

Lady Gaga’s 2010 “Telephone” music video famously ended with Mother Monster and Beyoncé, who has an iconic verse on the song, driving into the sunset together following a crime spree, as the words “To be continued…” pop up on screen. Although the fabled “Telephone” part two never came to fruition, fans are speculating that it could finally happen on Beyoncé’s upcoming album, Cowboy Carter.

The country-focused album, which drops on Friday, March 29, doesn’t have a track list yet. However, in a March 19 Instagram post, Queen Bey hinted that it will feature some big names.

“I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect,” she wrote.

Soon after Cowboy Carter was announced, fans began to piece together clues that could suggest that Gaga is one of the aforementioned artists. For starters, Beyoncé released the album’s two lead singles — “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” — on February 11, the same day that Gaga’s character is booked into jail in the “Telephone” music video. The opening of the teaser that Beyoncé shared announcing the album is also very similar to the ending of the “Telephone” video, with both showing Bey speeding through a desert.
